STUDENTS

The International Student Services Department provides guidance to international students. Staff members can assist students in interpreting U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations. Services include advising visa holders with travel, new I-20’s, social security and visa extensions, international student orientation, as well as other immigration matters.

 

The English language is the universal language of the world wide airline industry. International students must provide acceptable proof of English proficiency before enrolling in the College. The TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS examinations are acceptable proof. Students with three years post secondary education in English will also be accepted. Aviator College has opened its new Aviator English Institute of Training & Testing for those who require Aviation English Level 4 Requiremet by ICAO English Language Proficiency Requirements.

U.S. Visas:

Students will enter Aviator College, under an M-1 Student Visa for the AMT program.

 

Students entering Aviator College under an F-1 Student Visa, for the English program only, must reside in the housing that is provided to them by the school for the duration of the English program.

Students wishing to bring family over during their program, the family must be on the appropriate M-2 or F-2 Visa .

If you are planning to come to the U.S. for the Aviation Maintenance Program you must enter on a Student Visa. The College is approved by the INS to issue paperwork for visas under the Foreign Student Exchange Visitor Programs.

 

Aviator College provides a certificate of eligibility (I-20) to all admitted international students. The form is used to apply for the F-1 or M-1 Visa. The form verifies to U.S. immigration officials the student is academically qualified to attend the College, and has sufficient funds to cover the required period of study, and that subsequent funds will be available for the future. Students must demonstrate proof of financial support at the time of application.

 

 

  1. Upon receipt of your application, deposit, and all required documents for enrollment, you will receive the original I-20 or IAP-66 student visa form via overnight mail at the address provided. Remember you must provide a complete physical address in order for delivery to occur.

  2. You must take the original visa form to the U.S. Embassy in your country for approval. Please inform admissions of your tentative arrival date and your flight information so a representative may meet you at the airport to welcome you to the USA and Aviator College of Aeronautical Science & Technology. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

  3. If you have applied for a visa you will also need to register with S.E.V.I.S . at www.fmjfee.com - see their website for details.

  4. Contact your local US embassy to make an appointment, and ensure you have the required documentation and follow the correct procedure for the visa interview. READ Your local US embassy website extremely carefully!

ENROLLMENT 

INSTRUCTIONS

International students enrolling in one of our programs or individual courses must enter the United States on a visa issued by Aviator College.

 

Aviator is approved by the INS to issue paperwork for the M-1 and F-1 visas under the foreign student exchange visitor program. The M-1 or F-1 Visa may be issued to International Students who enroll in approved courses. If you are planning to come to the U.S. for training, you must enter on an M-1 or a F-1 Student Visa.

 

Complete the Online Application & Deposit Form, Your deposit will be held on your student account and will secure your enrollment date.

 

Upon receipt of your application, deposit, and all required documents for enrollment, the original I-20 or IAP-66 Form will be sent to your home. Remember we must have a complete physical address for proper delivery.

 

When you receive the original I-20 Form, take it to the U.S. Embassy in your country for approval. Please inform the school two weeks in advance of your arrival date and your flight information. A school representative will meet you at the airport to welcome you to the College.

Submit all documentation required for acceptance including; official High School Transcripts, a color copy of your current, valid passport, college entrance examination scores, TOFEL, TOEIC or IELTS scores (if required), proof of funds to cover the cost of the program, and any material that will help the Admissions office determine eligibility for enrollment and transfer credit. Note you may email an unofficial transcript for planning purposes, however the college must have an official transcript on file before the start of classes.

  3. When you receive the I-20 form from us you will also need to register with SEVIS www.fmjfee.com - see their website for details. You will need to fill out the I-901 Form and Payment

  4. Contact your local US Embassy to make an appointment, and ensure you have the required documentation and follow the correct procedure for the visa interview. Read your local US Embassy website extremely carefully!

  5. Contact Admissions at least two weeks in advance of your arrival to coordinate start date and arrival details.
